Yeah, If God tells you all these less important things, He should tell you this of this tragedy in advance and maybe some signs(like Moses) so we and others would take you seriously.

A Different JW Viewpoint
by Nicodemus ini have seen reference here to some of the posts on witnessesonline.com (wol) in response to the horrific events of yesterday, september 11, 2001.. please allow me to express a few different thoughts.. first of all, what happened yesterday was, just as president bush described it, despicable.
in making this attack, the attackers showed complete and utter disregard for human life.
those who commandeered the plane, knowing their ultimate goal, had no consideration for their own lives.

in other words, nato aliance is at war with those responsible, and will support the us lead, which will now hold not only the terrorists responsible, but hold those nations that host them as equally responsible.. Could the USA threat to punish any who protect the perpetrators be an powerful inducement for countries who harber the criminals to lead the US to their hidaways?

What I heard the JW's say in light of this tragedy
by Bridgette inokay, i know (or want to believe) that not all jehovah's witnesses are this calloused.
at least i hope not.
there are some good, caring people, but here are some stark contrasts i've observed today that remind me of how glad i am that i'm not part of such an overall unloving group of people.

This thread really gives one pause, and a inducement to think inwardly in order to rethink what values are important to us individually.
Many of us who used to think like YK, Chipster, and others are glad we can be more human in our compassion and show a much broader fellow feeling.
I'm sure there are a lot of lurkers who will see the need to change their veiw, or were in the prossess before this tragedy, and now have been solidified in there changed veiw.

JW's AND THE RISING DEATH COUNT!

i remember feeling sick because on one hand i wanted the death count to be as high as possible to prove we were in the time of the end, and on the other hand thinking how tragic, i was sick because i had such twisted thinking and i couldn't shake it.. did anyone else feel that way when you were a jw?.
if not how did you feel about these things?.
